NBCC to Execute ₹5,800 Crore Rajasthan Mandapam Project, Transforming Jaipur into Global Business & Tourism Hub

Unveiled by CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, the landmark mixed-use development includes world-class convention centre, expo halls, GCCs, riverfront, hotels, retail, and cultural spaces, reinforcing Jaipur’s investment-ready infrastructure.

Jaipur: On the eve of Rajasthan Diwas, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, in the presence of dignitaries including Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Cabinet Minister for Industries & Commerce, IT & C, Youth Affairs & Sports, Skills, Planning & Entrepreneurship and Soldier Welfare, unveiled the digital pictorial views of the Rajasthan Mandapam and allied infrastructure. The event, held at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur, marked a significant milestone in Rajasthan’s journey toward becoming a progressive, investment-ready state with world-class infrastructure.

Other notable dignitaries present included  Krishan Kumar Vishnoi, Minister of State, Industry & Commerce Department, Youth Affairs & Sports, Skills, Planning & Entrepreneurship Department and Policy Making,  V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan,  Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary & Chairman, RIICO, and Dr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC.

Transformative Project Near Jaipur International Airport

The ambitious Rajasthan Mandapam project is set to span over 90 acres near Jaipur International Airport, with a total built-up area exceeding 94.53 lakh sq.ft. The master plan envisions a mixed-use ecosystem that combines business, tourism, culture, leisure, and social interaction.

Key components include:

  • Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre – Built-up area over 9 lakh sq.ft., featuring multiple auditoria including the grand Padam Mandap with seating for 6,500 people, along with Swarn, Tulsi, and Kadam Mandaps, banquet halls, summit spaces, meeting rooms, and a state-of-the-art concert arena.
  • Expo Halls – Around 7 lakh sq.ft. for exhibitions and large-scale events.
  • Global Capability Centres (GCCs) & IT/ITES Office Spaces – Approximately 18 lakh sq.ft.
  • Hotels, Retail, and Residential Spaces – Totaling over 10.76 lakh sq.ft.
  • Natural History Museum – Over 1.77 lakh sq.ft., enhancing Jaipur’s cultural appeal.
  • Fintech Plaza and Unity Mall – With a built-up area of around 69,000 sq.ft.
  • Riverfront Public Spaces – Revitalization of the Dravyawati riverfront integrating ecology, recreation, and cultural activities.
  • Ample Parking – Spread across 32.5 lakh sq.ft., ensuring convenience for visitors.

The project emphasizes connectivity, sustainability, climate-responsive design, and pedestrian-friendly spaces, aiming to create a resilient and liveable urban environment.

Economic Significance and Investment Potential

Developed by RIICO with NBCC executing the project, the Rajasthan Mandapam is estimated at over ₹5,800 crore, positioning it as one of the most significant urban infrastructure initiatives in the region. The scale and scope of the project are expected to have far-reaching economic and social impacts, creating jobs, attracting investment, and boosting tourism.

NBCC plans to float tenders in April, signaling the transition from planning to execution. With its track record of delivering landmark infrastructure projects, NBCC is committed to high-quality construction, financial sustainability, transparency, and timely delivery.

Rajasthan Mandapam: A Global-Standard Convention Destination

At the heart of this initiative is the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, designed as a world-class, multi-scale facility capable of hosting international conventions, exhibitions, cultural performances, and high-level events. Its versatile infrastructure is expected to attract both domestic and global audiences, reinforcing Jaipur’s position as a premier destination for business, culture, and tourism.

The integration of GCCs, IT/ITES offices, hospitality, retail, and residential developments, along with the cultural and ecological enhancement of the Dravyawati riverfront, reflects a holistic approach to urban development that balances economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social engagement.
