New Delhi: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Government of India, has received an upgrade in its long-term issuer credit rating from Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd. (JCR).
JCR has upgraded REC Limited’s long-term issuer credit rating to ‘A-’ with a Stable Outlook, from the earlier rating of ‘BBB+’ with a Stable Outlook.
REC’s Credit Rating Upgraded from BBB+ to A-
The latest rating revision reflects an improvement in REC Limited’s credit standing as assessed by Japan Credit Rating Agency.

REC Limited disclosed the rating revision to the stock exchanges on September 7, 2026.
The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
The revised rating from JCR provides an updated assessment of REC’s long-term issuer credit profile.
Stable Outlook Maintained by JCR
Along with upgrading REC’s long-term issuer credit rating to A-, JCR has maintained a Stable Outlook for the company.
