Dehradun: REC Limited participated in RENEWEX 2026, an exclusive conclave and exhibition on renewable energy held on October 4, 2026, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss sustainable energy strategies and explore pathways for the future of renewable energy.
The participation highlighted REC’s role in supporting power and infrastructure development and promoting clean energy solutions to contribute to Uttarakhand’s sustainable development goals.
Trivendra Singh Rawat Attends RENEWEX 2026 as Chief Guest
The event was graced by Trivendra Singh Rawat, Member of Parliament and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Sunil Bisht, Chief Program Manager at REC’s Regional Office in Dehradun, participated in the event as the Guest of Honour. He also joined a panel discussion titled ‘Uttarakhand 2047: A Roadmap for the Future’, which focused on the state’s long-term development priorities and future growth opportunities.

REC Highlights Power and Infrastructure Financing
During the panel discussion, Sunil Bisht emphasised the importance of robust power and infrastructure financing in building a sustainable and developed Uttarakhand, in line with the vision of Viksit Uttarakhand.
He highlighted the need for reliable financial support to strengthen the state’s power infrastructure and facilitate sustainable development. Such financing plays an important role in supporting energy-related projects and building infrastructure to meet future requirements.
Bisht also stressed the importance of adopting clean energy solutions suited to the ecologically sensitive Himalayan region. He underlined the need to balance energy development with environmental considerations while pursuing a sustainable growth pathway for the state.
