Gurugram: RITES Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to provide comprehensive consultancy services for railway siding infrastructure projects across HPCL facilities.
The partnership aims to strengthen India’s rail-based logistics network for the transportation of petroleum products while improving railway connectivity and infrastructure at HPCL locations.
RITES to Provide End-to-End Railway Consultancy
Under the agreement, RITES will provide consultancy support across the complete lifecycle of railway siding projects, from the initial concept stage through commissioning.
The scope of services will include:
- Feasibility studies
- Final location surveys
- Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
- Detailed engineering
- Project Management Consultancy (PMC)
- Construction supervision
- Coordination with Indian Railways for statutory approvals
The end-to-end consultancy is expected to help streamline project execution and accelerate the development of railway siding infrastructure at HPCL facilities.
MoU to Strengthen Rail-Based Petroleum Logistics
The collaboration will focus on improving the movement of petroleum products through rail by developing new railway sidings, expanding rail connectivity and modernising existing railway infrastructure.
RITES’ expertise in railway engineering and infrastructure consultancy is expected to support HPCL in improving logistics efficiency and addressing transportation bottlenecks across its supply network.
