New Delhi: Vikram-1 launch under Mission Aagaman is officially scheduled for July 18, 2026, at 11:30 AM IST. Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace announced that its Vikram-1 Test Flight-1, called Mission Aagaman, will lift off from the First Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota.
This mission is a historic milestone because it aims to become India’s first private orbital rocket launch from Indian soil. The announcement was made through Skyroot Aerospace’s official X account.
What Is Vikram-1 Mission
Vikram-1 is a three-stage orbital launch vehicle developed by Skyroot Aerospace. The rocket is designed to carry small satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO). It can launch payloads of up to around 300–350 kg, making it suitable for commercial satellite missions and technology demonstrations.
