Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has released a recruitment advertisement for 200 Scaler posts in the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation.
The online application process will begin on September 22, 2026, while the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is provisionally scheduled to begin from November 19.
200 Scaler Posts Announced
The 200 vacancies have been distributed among different categories.
- Unreserved: 105
- Scheduled Caste: 39
- Other Backward Classes: 27
- Economically Weaker Section: 21
- Scheduled Tribe: 8
Horizontal reservation will also be applicable as per the rules for women, ex-servicemen, orphans, outstanding sportspersons and statehood movement activists.
Eligibility and Age Limit
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Science or Mathematics as a subject.
The prescribed age limit, calculated as of July 1, 2026, is:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 28 years
Candidates belonging to eligible reserved categories in Uttarakhand will receive relaxation in the upper age limit according to applicable rules.

Selection to Be Conducted in Two Stages
The recruitment process will consist of a Physical Standards and Efficiency Test followed by a written examination.
The physical test will be qualifying in nature.
Physical efficiency requirements include:
- Male candidates: 25-km run within four hours
- Female candidates: 14-km run within four hours
- Candidates qualifying in the run will proceed to shot put, long jump and high jump events.
Candidates who qualify in the physical test will be eligible for the second stage.
Written Exam to Carry 100 Marks
The second stage will comprise a 100-mark objective written examination conducted offline.
The examination will have a duration of two hours and will include questions related to the prescribed educational qualification.
A negative marking of one-fourth mark for every incorrect answer will apply.
