Mumbai: Union Bank of India organised a Home Loan Awareness Campaign on September 4, 2026, at Walchand Hirachand Hall, IMC Chamber of Commerce, Mumbai, with a focus on Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low Income Groups (LIG) and Middle-Income Groups (MIG).
Held under the theme Our Home, Our Dream, the campaign aimed to make housing finance more accessible to prospective home buyers and strengthen financial inclusion through affordable housing credit.
The event saw participation from representatives of 15 builders and more than 300 prospective home buyers. In-Principle Sanction Letters were also issued to some eligible home loan applicants during the campaign.
Union Bank Highlights Financial Inclusion Through Housing Finance
Addressing the gathering, S Ramasubramanian, Executive Director, Union Bank of India, emphasised the Bank’s commitment to financial inclusion through asset creation.
He highlighted the important role of public sector banks in supporting the housing needs of urban communities and helping more people access formal housing finance.

The campaign was attended by senior officials from Union Bank of India, including:

Special Home Loan Benefits Explained to Applicants
Dr. Renu K Nair, General Manager, Retail Assets Vertical, presented the features of the special home loan campaign and explained various benefits and facilities available to prospective borrowers.
The campaign highlighted facilities including:
- Waiver of processing fee
- Flexible transaction-based income evaluation
- Competitive credit-score-linked interest rates
- Financing options for home repairs and renovations
- Greater accessibility to housing finance for prospective home buyers
The interaction provided participants an opportunity to understand the available home loan options and clarify queries related to housing finance.
Over 300 Home Buyers Participate in Campaign
The campaign brought together prospective home buyers and representatives from the real estate sector on a common platform.
With participation from more than 300 home buying aspirants and 15 builders, the initiative provided a direct outreach platform for Union Bank to explain its housing finance offerings.
The issuance of In-Principle Sanction Letters to some applicants further highlighted the Bank’s focus on facilitating the home-buying journey.

The campaign reflects Union Bank of India’s efforts to expand awareness about formal housing finance among different income groups.
