Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has approved a ₹8,585.51 crore, 74.467-km expressway project connecting the Yamuna Expressway with the Ganga Expressway through the Jewar Airport region.
The six-lane access-controlled corridor will connect Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr and is expected to improve connectivity for western Uttar Pradesh.
74-Km Corridor to Link Major Expressways
The proposed road will create a direct connection between the Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway.

The Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has invited bids for developers for the initial phases of the project.
Faster Access to Jewar Airport
The project aims to provide residents of western Uttar Pradesh, including Bulandshahr, with faster access to Noida International Airport at Jewar.
Officials expect the corridor to reduce travel difficulties and improve movement between major economic and transport corridors in the region.
₹250 Crore Earmarked in Supplementary Budget
The state has earmarked ₹250 crore for the project in its supplementary budget. The state Cabinet has also cleared the alignment.
The selected developer will be responsible for design, engineering, procurement and construction, along with maintenance during a five-year defect liability period.
Boost to Industry and Regional Connectivity
The new expressway is expected to strengthen connectivity between western Uttar Pradesh’s industrial areas, major highways and the airport.
Better road access could support industrial expansion, logistics, trade and employment generation in the region as the state continues to develop its expressway network.
