Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed preparations for the proposed Foxconn Semiconductor Park in the Yamuna Development Authority area, marking a major step toward building the state’s first semiconductor manufacturing hub.
The project will be developed on around 48 acres in Sector-28, E-01, with an estimated investment of nearly ₹4000 crore.
First Semiconductor Park to Boost UP’s Tech Identity
This will be the first semiconductor park in Uttar Pradesh, expected to give the state a strong identity in advanced electronics and high-tech manufacturing.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that the project follows global quality standards, modern technology, and a strict time-bound execution plan.
Semiconductor Industry Seen as Future of Economy
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the semiconductor industry is the foundation of the future economy.
He added that investment in this sector will strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position at both national and international levels, while also boosting industrial activity in Gautam Buddh Nagar and surrounding regions.
3000 Jobs Expected from the Project
The semiconductor park is expected to generate around 3,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister emphasized prioritizing local youth and linking them with skill development programs so they can benefit from high-tech industrial jobs.
Focus on Environment and Global Standards
CM Yogi instructed that all environmental and technical norms must be strictly followed during project execution. He reiterated that maintaining a balance between development and environmental protection remains a top priority of the government.
High-Level Officials Review Project Readiness
The review meeting was attended by senior officials including Chief Executive Officers of development authorities, Police Commissioner, District Magistrate, and other departmental heads.Officials briefed the Chief Minister on land development, infrastructure readiness, power supply, water management, and security arrangements.
Yamuna Region Set to Become a High-Tech Manufacturing Hub
The semiconductor park is expected to transform the Yamuna Authority region into a major electronics and high-tech manufacturing hub.The project aligns with national initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem and boosting Uttar Pradesh’s industrial growth trajectory.
