National Fertilizers Limited Appoints Arvind Kumar as Director (Finance) to Strengthen Leadership at Board Level

New Delhi: National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has appointed Mr. Arvind Kumar as Director (Finance) on its Board, effective May 12, 2026.

The appointment has been made following an order from the Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, in compliance with SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

Board-Level Transition in Financial Leadership

As part of the leadership change:

  • Mr. Arvind Kumar has joined as Director (Finance)
  • Mr. Mahesh Chander Gupta, Director (Marketing), has relinquished additional charge of Director (Finance)

The company officially communicated the change to stock exchanges under regulatory requirements.

Five-Year Tenure for New Director (Finance)

Mr. Arvind Kumar has been appointed for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further government orders, whichever is earlier.

Strong Academic and Professional Background

Arvind Kumar brings extensive expertise in finance and corporate governance.

Qualifications

  • Master of Commerce (M.Com)
  • Fellow Member, Institute of Cost Accountants of India
  • Associate Member, Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Extensive Experience in Public Sector Finance

Before joining NFL, he held senior finance roles in major public sector enterprises, including:

  • Indian Oil Corporation Limited
  • Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited

His expertise spans financial management, internal audit, taxation, budgeting, banking, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

Expected Boost to Financial Strategy and Governance

The appointment is expected to strengthen NFL’s financial planning, internal control systems, and governance framework.

With his extensive experience in PSU financial operations, Arvind Kumar is likely to support improved resource mobilization and operational efficiency at the company.
