Lucknow: District Magistrates led the top-performing districts in Uttar Pradesh’s Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) rankings for April 2026, highlighting the crucial role of field administration in delivering responsive governance under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
According to the latest IGRS report, Rampur secured the first position in the state with 138 points, followed by Pilibhit in second place. Shravasti and Amethi jointly claimed the third position after obtaining identical scores.
The achievement has drawn attention to the district collectors leading these administrations, with collectors occupying all top three ranks in the statewide performance index.
Rampur Tops Uttar Pradesh in IGRS Rankings
Ajay Dwivedi, a 2015-batch IAS officer, led Rampur to the number one position with an impressive score of 138 points.
Rampur’s top ranking reflects strong monitoring of grievance redressal, public hearings, welfare schemes and revenue administration.
Pilibhit Secures Second Place
Gyanendra Singh, a 2014-batch IAS officer, guided Pilibhit to the second position in the state.
The district’s consistent administrative performance earned it a place among the best-governed districts under the IGRS evaluation.
Shravasti and Amethi Share Third Spot
Annapurna Garg, a 2016-batch IAS officer, led Shravasti to a joint third-place finish.
Sanjay Chauhan, a 2014-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre officer, steered Amethi to the same rank with an equal score.
