Ghaziabad: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has donated 10 Ashok Leyland Dost 1500 CC tipper vehicles to the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The vehicles will support door-to-door collection of industrial garbage from five industrial areas in Ghaziabad district, contributing to cleaner industrial zones, improved sanitation and better environmental conditions.
BEL Donates 10 Tipper Vehicles Under CSR
BEL donated the vehicles to UPSIDA on 7 September 2026 as part of its CSR initiative. The tippers will be deployed for regular collection of industrial waste from industries located across five industrial areas of Ghaziabad.
The initiative is aimed at:
- Improving industrial waste collection and management.
- Keeping industrial areas cleaner.
- Preventing garbage accumulation on roads.
- Supporting better sanitation and hygiene.
- Contributing to environmental cleanliness in Ghaziabad.

Vehicles Flagged Off at BEL Sahibabad Site-IV
The vehicles were formally flagged off on 7 September 2026 at BEL’s Sahibabad Site-IV premises.
The ceremony was led by:
- Ambrish Tripathi, Director (Human Resources), BEL
- Balkar Singh (IAS), CEO, UPSIDA
The event was also attended by Smt. Rashmi Kathuria, Executive Director & Unit Head, BEL Ghaziabad, and Rajeev Tyagi, Principal General Manager, UPSIDA, along with other senior officials from both organisations.
Door-to-Door Industrial Garbage Collection in Ghaziabad
With the deployment of the 10 tippers, industries in the identified industrial areas will receive regular door-to-door garbage collection services managed by UPSIDA.
The initiative is expected to help improve waste collection practices and reduce garbage on roads and other public areas within the industrial zones.
Initiative Supports Swachh Bharat Mission
The CSR initiative aligns with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission and reflects the joint commitment of BEL and UPSIDA towards improving cleanliness and sanitation in Ghaziabad’s industrial areas.
The project is also focused on supporting:
- Better health and hygiene conditions.
- Cleaner industrial surroundings.
- Improved environmental cleanliness.
- More efficient industrial garbage collection.
