New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, once again highlighting Bihar’s strong presence in the prestigious examination. While Anuj Agnihotri secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1, Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district also celebrated a remarkable achievement as Raghav Jhunjhunwala secured AIR 4 in the country.

He appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 with Roll Number 0834732 and delivered an outstanding performance in the final stage of the selection process. Securing All India Rank 4, he emerged as one of the top achievers in one of India’s toughest competitive examinations.

His success is being widely celebrated in Muzaffarpur, where residents, friends, and relatives have been congratulating his family since the results were announced.

Raghav Jhunjhunwala was born and raised in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, in a family that deeply valued education and discipline.

• His father, Late Naveen Jhunjhunwala, played a significant role in shaping his early life.

• His mother, Anju Jhunjhunwala, supported his academic journey and ambitions.

Growing up in such an environment helped Raghav develop strong academic interests and motivated him to pursue higher education and eventually prepare for the prestigious civil services examination.

Academic Journey: From Muzaffarpur to SRCC Delhi

Raghav has consistently performed well throughout his academic career.

• He completed his Class 10 in 2017 from DPS I Garhan Hathouri Sanathi, Muzaffarpur (CBSE).

• He finished Class 12 in 2019 from G.D. Mother International School, Muzaffarpur (CBSE).

During his school years, he demonstrated strong academic abilities and even emerged as a CBSE Bihar topper in Class 12.

For higher education, Raghav moved to Delhi and enrolled at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, one of India’s premier institutions.

• He completed B.A. (Hons) in Economics in 2022.

• During college, he received the Charat Ram Gold Medal for academic excellence.

• He also worked on a research paper on the Non-Performing Assets (NPA) crisis in India, reflecting his strong analytical and research skills.

Raghav Jhunjhunwala’s journey to success in the UPSC Civil Services Examination is a story of determination and persistence.

He appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination three times:

2023 Attempt

• Cleared the Preliminary Examination

• Could not qualify the Mains Examination

2024 Attempt

• Cleared both Prelims and Mains

• Appeared for the Interview

• However, he was not included in the final merit list

2025 Attempt

• Cleared all stages of the examination

• Secured All India Rank 4

Relatives, friends, neighbors, and well-wishers gathered to congratulate the family and celebrate his achievement. Sweets were distributed as locals expressed pride in his accomplishment.

Many residents said Raghav has brought national recognition to Muzaffarpur through his dedication and hard work.

Raghav Jhunjhunwala’s Reaction After Success

After securing AIR 4, Raghav shared that this was his third attempt at the examination. He acknowledged that he had faced setbacks earlier but never lost confidence.

According to him, his success was the result of consistent preparation, guidance from teachers, and the unwavering support of his parents.

Raghav also emphasized the importance of discipline, conceptual clarity, and continuous effort for aspirants preparing for the civil services.

• A total of 958 candidates were recommended for appointment

• General: 317 candidates

• EWS: 104 candidates

• OBC: 306 candidates

• SC: 158 candidates

• ST: 73 candidates

The selected candidates will be appointed to prestigious services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS.
