The state government’s industrial development strategy is focused on attracting investments in emerging and high-potential sectors.

Special attention is being given to:

  • Aroma-based industries
  • Electronics manufacturing
  • Plastic industries
  • Startup-based enterprises

The government aims to create 1 lakh new employment opportunities and attract ₹50,000 crore of investment within the next two years.

Aroma Park in Kashipur Expands Industrial Opportunities

An Aroma Park is being developed across 41 acres in Kashipur under the state’s Aroma Park Policy.

So far, 36 industrial plots have been allotted at the park. The project is expected to support the growth of aroma-based industries and attract new enterprises to the region.

Electronic Manufacturing Clusters to Boost Electronics Sector

The government is also focusing on expanding the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Uttarakhand.

Under the Central Government’s MSME scheme, around 3,000 acres of land at Khurpia and Parag have been identified for the development of electronic manufacturing clusters.

In addition, a cluster spread over 133 acres in Kashipur has already seen the allotment of 34 industrial plots.

These projects are aimed at promoting electronics manufacturing and creating new opportunities for investment and employment.

The model is designed to help small entrepreneurs and startups access industrial space without the high capital requirements generally associated with setting up standalone manufacturing facilities.
