Government Targets 1 Lakh New Jobs and ₹50,000 Crore Investment

The state government’s industrial development strategy is focused on attracting investments in emerging and high-potential sectors.

Special attention is being given to:

  • Aroma-based industries
  • Electronics manufacturing
  • Plastic industries
  • Startup-based enterprises

The government aims to create 1 lakh new employment opportunities and attract ₹50,000 crore of investment within the next two years.

Land allocation for several projects is already progressing, while construction work on new industrial infrastructure is also underway in different parts of the state.

Aroma Park in Kashipur Expands Industrial Opportunities

An Aroma Park is being developed across 41 acres in Kashipur under the state’s Aroma Park Policy.

So far, 36 industrial plots have been allotted at the park. The project is expected to support the growth of aroma-based industries and attract new enterprises to the region.

Electronic Manufacturing Clusters to Boost Electronics Sector

The government is also focusing on expanding the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Uttarakhand.

Under the Central Government’s MSME scheme, around 3,000 acres of land at Khurpia and Parag have been identified for the development of electronic manufacturing clusters.

In addition, a cluster spread over 133 acres in Kashipur has already seen the allotment of 34 industrial plots.

These projects are aimed at promoting electronics manufacturing and creating new opportunities for investment and employment.

Plastic Park in Sitarganj to Offer Modern Facilities

The park will provide various facilities to support plastic manufacturing and related industries, including:

  • CIPET Centre
  • Testing facilities

  • Warehousing
  • Plastic waste recycling

The infrastructure is expected to support sustainable growth in the plastic industry while encouraging recycling and skill development.

A multi-storey flatted factory building has already been completed in Haridwar. The facility is expected to accommodate around 40 to 60 industrial units.

The model is designed to help small entrepreneurs and startups access industrial space without the high capital requirements generally associated with setting up standalone manufacturing facilities.

New 80-Acre Industrial Estate Coming Up in Khanpur

A new Industrial Estate is being developed across 80 acres in Khanpur, Haridwar.

Construction work on the project is progressing rapidly. Once completed, the industrial estate is expected to provide plots for around 200 MSME units.

The project is expected to create additional industrial capacity and support new employment opportunities in the Haridwar region.

SIDCUL Developing Special Industrial Parks Across Uttarakhand

To accelerate industrial investment in the state, State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (SIDCUL) is developing special industrial parks and modern industrial infrastructure.

Projects in Kashipur, Sitarganj, Haridwar, Pantnagar and Selaqui are aimed at attracting new industries and expanding employment opportunities.

Uttarakhand MSME Minister Bharat Singh Chaudhary said the industrial projects being developed by SIDCUL are intended to accelerate investment and create new employment opportunities by providing modern infrastructure and better facilities to industries.
