Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will launch a scheme offering free online coaching and study material for competitive and higher education exams, benefiting students across the state.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana, a state initiative aimed at helping young people prepare for competitive and higher education examinations through free online coaching and quality study material.

The scheme is designed to make expert guidance more accessible to students, particularly those who cannot afford private coaching or live in remote and hilly parts of Uttarakhand.

Free Coaching for Competitive Examinations

Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana, students enrolled in universities as well as government and aided colleges across Uttarakhand will receive online coaching for a wide range of examinations.

The programme will cover major competitive examinations, including:

  • Civil Services examinations conducted by UPSC and State Public Service Commissions
  • Combined Defence Services (CDS)
  • Banking examinations
  • Railways
  • Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

The initiative will also provide guidance for higher education and eligibility examinations such as CAT, MAT, GATE, NET and CSIR-NET.

By bringing these resources online, the government aims to ensure that financial limitations do not prevent talented students from preparing for examinations that can shape their education and career prospects.

Special Benefit for Students in Remote Areas

The scheme could be particularly significant for students living in Uttarakhand’s remote and hilly regions.

Students often have to travel to larger cities to access experienced teachers, coaching institutes and quality study material. Online coaching can reduce this dependence on physical coaching centres by allowing students to access guidance from their homes or educational institutions.

For students from financially weaker families, the free nature of the programme could also reduce the cost of competitive examination preparation.

The government expects the initiative to provide young aspirants with better guidance and the resources needed to compete in examinations at both the state and national levels.

Focus on Equal Access to Career Opportunities

The Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana reflects a focus on improving access to career-oriented education beyond regular college studies.

Competitive examinations such as UPSC, SSC, banking and defence services attract large numbers of candidates, while examinations such as GATE, NET and CSIR-NET are important for higher studies, research and academic careers.

Providing structured online coaching and study material through a state-supported programme could help students prepare without having to make major financial investments in private coaching.

₹147 Crore Pension Support for Nearly 10 Lakh Beneficiaries

The announcement comes alongside the state government’s recent focus on strengthening social security delivery.

On Friday, CM Dhami transferred the August 2026 pension instalment under various social security pension schemes of the Social Welfare Department through a one-click payment mechanism from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.

A total of ₹147.05 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of 9,91,914 beneficiaries.

The government also sanctioned pensions for 5,605 new beneficiaries under various social security pension schemes during August.

Government Stresses Timely Social Security

Dhami said providing social security to weaker, needy and deprived sections of society remains a priority for the state government.

He said the government is committed to ensuring that every eligible person receives the benefits of social security schemes in a simple and timely manner.

The Chief Minister also directed officials to address practical difficulties faced during the implementation of pension schemes with sensitivity.

While the youth coaching initiative focuses on education and career opportunities, the pension transfers highlight another part of the government’s approach—improving access to welfare benefits through direct and timely delivery.

Bridging the Gap Between Talent and Opportunity

The Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana is aimed at reducing one of the key barriers faced by students preparing for competitive examinations: access to affordable and quality guidance.

For Uttarakhand’s students, especially those living in mountainous and remote areas, online learning can provide an opportunity to access expert support without relocating to major cities.

If implemented effectively, the scheme could help more students prepare for national-level examinations while reducing the financial and geographical barriers associated with conventional coaching.

The initiative therefore links education with wider opportunities for employment, higher studies and professional growth, giving Uttarakhand’s youth a more accessible route towards competitive examinations and career advancement.
