New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday held a courtesy meeting with Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers J. P. Nadda at his residence in New Delhi. The meeting focused on key issues related to public health, medical infrastructure, agriculture, and fertilizer availability in the state.

The discussion highlighted the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare systems and ensure better access to essential services for citizens across Chhattisgarh.

Focus on Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure

During the meeting, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai briefed the Union Minister on initiatives being undertaken to improve healthcare services and medical infrastructure in the state.

He said the government is working on:

  • Expanding hospitals and medical colleges
  • Strengthening healthcare facilities in rural and tribal regions
  • Ensuring quality treatment within the state
  • Improving access to modern medical services

The Chief Minister emphasized that special attention is being given to remote and tribal areas to ensure equitable healthcare access.

CM Sai informed that the state government has issued clear instructions to ensure:

  • Timely availability of fertilizers and seeds
  • Strict monitoring of distribution systems
  • Prevention of black marketing and hoarding
  • Smooth supply chain during the agricultural season

He also stressed that village-level campaigns are being conducted to connect farmers with modern agricultural practices.

Promotion of Nano Fertilizers and Modern Farming Techniques

The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s efforts to promote nano urea and nano DAP among farmers.

Key initiatives include:

  • Awareness campaigns on benefits of nano fertilizers
  • Encouraging cost-effective farming practices
  • Increasing crop productivity
  • Reducing dependency on traditional chemical fertilizers

These steps aim to make agriculture more sustainable and profitable for farmers in Chhattisgarh.

Centre-State Coordination for Development

CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the state government is working in close coordination with the Central Government to accelerate development across key sectors including:

  • Health
  • Agriculture
  • Rural development
  • Public welfare

He emphasized that stronger Centre-State collaboration will help improve service delivery and overall development outcomes in Chhattisgarh.
