New Delhi: The Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) under the Department of Atomic Energy has recommended the name of Vivek Jaiswal, Principal General Manager (Enterprise Business) at BSNL, for appointment as the next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad.
The selection meeting was conducted on May 9, 2026, through video conferencing as part of the official PSU leadership appointment process.
Three Senior Officials Interviewed for Top ECIL Role
The committee interviewed three senior public sector executives for the CMD position at ECIL:
- Vivek Jaiswal – Principal General Manager (Enterprise Business), BSNL
- Magesh Ethirajan – Director General, CDAC
- Rakesh Tumane – Director (Finance), MOIL Limited
Candidates were assessed based on their:
- Leadership experience
- Public sector management expertise
- Technology and operational capabilities
- Strategic and financial management skills

Vivek Jaiswal Recommended for CMD Appointment
After completing the evaluation process, the committee recommended Vivek Jaiswal for the top leadership role at ECIL.
The recommendation now moves forward under the standard Government of India approval process for appointments in central public sector enterprises.
