Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Narayana Institute, Nagpur, to provide high-quality JEE coaching to talented students selected under the 4th Batch of Project TARASH, its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The agreement, signed on July 16, 2026, aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker and underprivileged communities living in coal-bearing and nearby areas by helping them prepare for admission to India’s top engineering institutions.
WCL Signs MoU with Narayana Institute for JEE Coaching
Under the partnership, selected students will receive expert coaching for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), improving their chances of securing admission to prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
Project TARASH to Support Deserving Students
Project TARASH is WCL’s flagship CSR programme focused on identifying talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds and providing them with quality educational support.
Through the collaboration with Narayana Institute, students will benefit from:
- Expert faculty and classroom coaching

- Preparation for IIT-JEE and other engineering entrance examinations

- Mr. Sriram Pande, Centre Head, Narayana Institute, Nagpur, on behalf of the institute.
