West Bengal: The Ministry of Railways has approved three major railway projects aimed at strengthening connectivity, improving passenger convenience, and expanding rail infrastructure in West Bengal.

The ministry has also approved feasibility studies and surveys for several other routes, including:
- Contai–Jhargram new rail line feasibility study
- Tamluk–Digha rail line survey (approx. 107 km)
- Digha–Tajpur line feasibility survey (7.15 km)
These projects aim to expand coastal and regional rail connectivity.
