Bhopal: In a significant administrative decision, the Madhya Pradesh government has assigned senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar Dubey the additional charge of Director, Public Relations (DPR), Bhopal. Mr Dubey is currently serving as Additional Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation.

A 2012-batch officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Mr Dubey has built a strong reputation through his extensive administrative experience and leadership in key government departments.

Addl Responsibility in the Public Relations Dept

The state government entrusted Dubey with the additional charge of Director, Public Relations on May 7, 2026. In this role, he will oversee the state’s official communication and media outreach from Bhopal, the administrative capital of Madhya Pradesh.

The Public Relations Department plays a crucial role in disseminating government policies, welfare initiatives, and official information to the public and media.

Key Roles in the Madhya Pradesh Government

At present, Mr Dubey holds multiple important assignments in the state administration:

  • Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh
  • Managing Director, MP State Agro Industries Development Corporation
  • Director, Public Relations, Bhopal (Additional Charge)

These responsibilities place him at the center of governance, policy implementation, and public communication in the state.

Educational Background and Personal Details

IAS Dubey was born on February 6, 1969. He hails from Madhya Pradesh and holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry.

He entered the Indian Administrative Service through promotion from the State Civil Service and belongs to the 2012 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre.

Distinguished Administrative Career

With over a decade of service in senior administrative positions, IAS Dubey has handled a wide range of responsibilities across district administration and the state secretariat.

Major Positions Held:

  • District Collector, Raisen
  • Deputy Secretary in the Chief Secretary’s Office, Bhopal
  • Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister
  • Managing Director, MP Agro
  • Director of Public Relations (Additional Charge)

As Collector of Raisen, he was recognized for his effective district administration and development initiatives.

Trusted Officer in the Chief Minister’s Office

Since early 2025, IAS Dubey has been serving in the Chief Minister’s Office as Additional Secretary, where he assists in policy coordination and implementation of key government priorities.

His simultaneous role as Managing Director of MP Agro Industries Development Corporation reflects the confidence reposed in him by the state government.

The addition of the Public Relations portfolio further underscores his growing importance within the Madhya Pradesh administrative setup.

Strengthening Government Communication

By assigning Arvind Kumar Dubey the additional responsibility of Director, Public Relations, the Madhya Pradesh government aims to strengthen coordination between governance and public communication.
