Saharanpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Saharanpur on Thursday and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 325 development projects worth ₹2,131 crore in the Deoband’s Jadauda Jatt area. The projects cover key sectors including roads, healthcare, education, drinking water, and urban development.
This marks the Chief Minister’s third visit to the district within three months, highlighting the government’s focus on accelerating development in western Uttar Pradesh.
₹2,131 Crore Projects to Boost Infrastructure
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed certificates to beneficiaries and inaugurated a wide range of public welfare schemes.
The 325 projects aim to strengthen basic infrastructure across urban and rural areas, with a focus on balanced regional development and improved living standards.
Officials said the initiatives are designed to ensure long-term growth and improve essential services for the public.

Focus on Roads, Connectivity and Economic Growth
A major portion of the projects is dedicated to road construction and connectivity upgrades.
The Chief Minister said improved road networks will:
- Enhance transportation facilities
- Boost trade and industrial growth
- Generate new employment opportunities
He also highlighted that expressway connectivity, including the Dehradun–Saharanpur–Shamli–Baghpat route, has significantly reduced travel time to Delhi and boosted regional development.
Healthcare, Education and Drinking Water Expansion

Saharanpur’s Transformation and Industrial Growth
The Chief Minister said Saharanpur is rapidly transforming into a hub of development, particularly in the field of woodcraft and local industries.
He added that government support has helped local artisans gain international recognition, boosting exports and employment.
Plans for an industrial logistics centre in the region are also expected to attract investment and create jobs.
Law and Order Highlighted as Key Achievement
Yogi Adityanath strongly emphasised improvements in law and order, stating that Uttar Pradesh has become free of mafia influence and large-scale crime.
He contrasted the current situation with the pre-2017 period, when the region faced unrest, migration, and insecurity, according to him.
The Chief Minister said strict action against criminals has helped restore public confidence and stability in the state.

In his address, the Chief Minister also referred to national and state political developments, stating that voters are increasingly supporting governance based on development and stability.
He criticised divisive politics and said the public now prefers progress-oriented leadership.
