Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the ‘Namo Seva: Ankahi Kahaniyan’ programme in Lucknow on October 2, organised as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life.
The programme featured a theatrical presentation depicting different aspects of Modi’s public-service journey. Adityanath said the presentation offered an accessible account of the Prime Minister’s years in public life.
Yogi Marks Modi’s 25 Years in Public Service
Speaking at the event, Adityanath said October 7 would mark 25 years since Modi began serving as the head of a government, first as Gujarat Chief Minister and later as Prime Minister.

He described the period as a combination of India’s heritage, development and welfare and said:
“These 25 years of uninterrupted, unwavering and steadfast journey is a remarkable and commendable journey of the finest combination of India’s heritage and development, as well as taking the scheme of governance without discrimination to different sections of society for public welfare.”
The Chief Minister also referred to welfare schemes and development initiatives associated with the Union government, including Jan Dhan accounts, housing, toilets, Ujjwala, health insurance and foodgrain support, as well as infrastructure projects involving highways, expressways, railways, metro systems and airports.
Theatre Presentation to Be Taken Across UP
Adityanath praised the artists of the Bharatendu Natya Akademi for the theatrical presentation and suggested that the production be staged across Uttar Pradesh.
He proposed taking the play to all 825 development blocks and 762 urban local bodies in the state. He also suggested incorporating regional languages including Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Braj and Bundelkhandi, along with local songs.
Referring to the presentation, he said:
“Every person’s eyes are opened by this play. It expresses those facts which can be easily understood by everyone through the medium of theatre.”
The event also included tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.
Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Runs Until October 17
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is being conducted from September 17 to October 17, 2026. Uttar Pradesh has planned multiple activities under the campaign, including programmes focused on public service, youth participation, welfare schemes and development initiatives.
The ‘Namo Seva: Ankahi Kahaniyan’ programme is one component of the wider campaign, which is being used to present accounts of public service and government initiatives to audiences across the state.
