An officer’s behaviour decides his acceptance among his colleagues as well as among the public. When a police officer is able to touch hearts with his behaviour, it is evident from the kind of farewell that he gets from his staff.
So was the case in North Goa, when SP Nidhin Valsan, a humble and rooted-to-the-ground IPS officer, bid goodbye to the district after being transferred to Delhi. His staff gave him a grand but touching farewell, honouring the officer for his commitment to duty, and to their welfare.

Standing in line, they clapped and showered flower petals as he passed them by on the official jeep. This farewell ceremony was organised by the staff to show the officer how much they respect him and how much they are going to miss him.
Needless to say, many had tears in their eyes as they bid goodbye to the dynamic officer, who inspires people by always standing firm in his commitment to work, defying anything that comes in the way.
