Fraudulent Entries in Civil Services: IAS Smita Sabharwal Calls for Comprehensive Reforms

In a recent social media post, IAS officer Smita Sabharwal expressed her concerns over the current state of the reservation and quota systems in civil services. Sharing her views on the social media platform X, Ms. Sabharwal called for a thorough revamp of the system to ensure fairness and meritocracy.

In her post, Sabharwal highlighted the disturbing trend of unscrupulous candidates using fake certificates to gain entry into the prestigious civil service. She emphasized that the UPSC and IAS/IPS are still regarded by bright students as the last bastions of merit-based entry, and it is crucial to maintain the integrity of these institutions.

Ms. Sabharwal’s post read: “Disturbing news on the fake certificates being used by unscrupulous candidates to gain entry into the civil service.”
