Just when the frenzy thrown around by pretentious social media influencers seemed to go out of hand, IPS Abhishek Verma took to X and shared a post where one such rogue influencer got schooled after he was found violating traffic rules and jeopardizing public safety while showing off his physique and puerile stunts mounted on a motorcycle on a public road in Uttar Pradesh. However, the perpetrator’s moment of glory did not last long, as the cops soon apprehended him and seized his bike. They also registered a case against the perpetrator under sections 279 and 294 of the Indian Penal Code.
Taking to X, Mr. Abhishek Verma wrote, “‘Swag से स्वागत’ – showing off your body and stunts on public road is not acceptable. Public road is not your private property pls refrain from doing stunts and obscene acts which might prove dangerous to you and others on the road. Bike seized &case has been registered.”
