“Anything under the sun can be a business opportunity for Indians.” Recently, a post shared by Mr. Altap Shaikh (a 2020 batch Indian Corporate Law Service officer), which went viral on X, reaffirms the above-mentioned stereotype.
The mental strain and agony undertaken by an aspirant during his/her preparation days for the UPSC CSE are some of the most under-acknowledged aspects of India’s Civil Services lore. In the post, ICLS Altap Shaikh shared a picture of an advertisement where someone discovered a business opportunity of providing body massages to UPSC Aspirants claiming to ameliorate their stress and augment their focus on studies.
Officer Shaikh wrote, “The anxiety, panic attacks, stress are common during the UPSC preparation.. Rather they are very neglected aspects for an aspirant.. Found this adv. I appreciate the person who came up with this idea.. Har chiz ka business hai yaha..”
