On the occasion of World Sparrow Day, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared a remarkable piece of history on his social media platform X. He highlighted a one-of-a-kind plaque in Ahmedabad, dedicated to a sparrow that tragically died in a police firing in March 1974.
Mr. Kaswan wrote, “The only plaque in the world dedicated to a sparrow is in Ahmedabad. Dedicated to a sparrow that died in March of 1974 in a police firing. People are beautiful!”
This rare tribute stands as a reminder of the deep connection people share with nature and their sensitivity toward even the smallest creatures.
