IAS Retirement List March 2026: 20 Officers From AGMUT, Punjab, Maharashtra and Other Cadres Superannuate

New Delhi: As many as 20 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers belonging to different cadres and batches are set to retire during March 2026, marking the superannuation of several senior administrators across states and union territories.

The retiring officers belong to a wide range of cadres including AGMUT, Assam-Meghalaya, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal.

AGMUT cadre officer retiring

Among those retiring is Taku Talo from the AGMUT cadre.

Three officers retire from Assam-Meghalaya cadre

The Assam-Meghalaya cadre will see retirement of three senior officers:

  • Mridul Kumar Mahanta
  • Riju Gogoi
  • Monita Borgohain

Two Gujarat cadre officers superannuate

From Gujarat, the retiring officers are:

  • H J Desai
  • K B Thakkar

Retirements from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Kerala

Other senior officers retiring this month include:

  • Mukesh Kumar Ahuja from Haryana
  • Gopal Chand from Himachal Pradesh
  • Shailesh Kumar Singh from Jharkhand
  • Rajesh Kumar Sinha from Kerala

Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Nagaland officers on retirement list

From Madhya Pradesh, Smita Bharadwaj is retiring.

Maharashtra has three officers retiring:

  • Bhushan A Gagarani
  • Ganesh B Patil
  • Manoj Kumar M Suryavanshi

From Nagaland, retiring officer is:

  • Temsunaro Aier

Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal officers also retire

From Odisha:

  • Saroj Kumar Sethi

From Punjab, three officers are retiring:

  • Anurag Agarwal
  • J M Balamurugan
  • Bhupinder Singh

From West Bengal:

  • Sima Sarkar

Administrative transition across cadres

The retirement of these officers will create senior-level vacancies across multiple cadres and may lead to fresh appointments, empanelment movements and cadre-level administrative reshuffles in coming months.

Such annual superannuation cycles often influence departmental leadership and postings across state administrations.
