New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the written examination results for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026, held on September 13. Candidates whose roll numbers appear on the qualified list are eligible to proceed to the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview stage for admission to the armed forces’ training courses beginning in July 2027.
The result was published on October 9, 2026, and is available on the official UPSC website.
Qualified Candidates to Appear for SSB Interviews
Candidates who have cleared the written examination will be considered for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA’s 158th Course and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). Both courses are scheduled to commence on July 1, 2027.

The candidature of all candidates listed in the result remains provisional.
What Qualified Candidates Need to Do
UPSC has outlined the following steps for candidates who have qualified:
- Register online: Candidates must register on the Indian Army recruitment website, “joinindianarmy.nic.in”, within two weeks of the announcement of the written result.
- Existing registrations: Candidates who have already registered on the website do not need to register again.
- SSB interview details: Selection centres and interview dates will be allotted to successful candidates and communicated to their registered email addresses.
- Carry original certificates: Candidates must submit their original age and educational qualification certificates to the respective SSBs during the interview.
- Do not send certificates to UPSC: The Commission has clarified that original certificates should not be sent to its office.

When Will UPSC Release Marks and Cut-Offs?
The Commission has stated that candidates’ marks and the examination cut-off marks will be uploaded to its official website only after the entire NDA and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 process concludes with the declaration of the final result.
The marks and cut-off details will remain available on the UPSC website for 30 days after being uploaded.
