Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced recruitment for 132 Senior Instructor posts under the State Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow. Online applications will be accepted from September 14 to October 5, 2026, while candidates will be able to make corrections to their applications until October 12.
The recruitment is for various Senior Instructor positions under the Deendayal Upadhyay State Institute of Rural Development, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow. The commission has issued detailed instructions for the recruitment process.

Candidates can apply through the UPSSSC website. The commission has advised applicants to take a printout of their completed application for future reference.
PET 2025 Score to Be Used for Shortlisting
Candidates who appeared in UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 will be considered for shortlisting for the written examination. Applicants can use their PET number while completing the online application. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, after which relevant details can be populated in the application process.
Candidates seeking reservation or other applicable benefits have been advised to obtain the required certificates within the prescribed period.
Written Examination Pattern
The written examination will carry 100 marks and consist of 100 questions. Candidates will get two hours to complete the paper, and negative marking will apply.
The examination syllabus released by the commission includes questions related to:
- Rural development-related subjects – 50 marks
- Analytical ability and data interpretation – 15 marks
- Computer and information technology concepts – 15 marks
- General knowledge about Uttar Pradesh – 20 marks
The 132 posts cover different Senior Instructor disciplines, including engineering, plant protection, horticulture, animal husbandry, agronomy, women welfare, cooperation, panchayats, soil science, agriculture, agricultural extension, production and public health.
