UPSC aspirants have been facing uncertainties this year with the exams getting rescheduled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Even the final decision of the Supreme court on the petition for rescheduling the exam was announced on 30 September, just four days prior to the examination.

The aspirants who come out in large numbers every year have not been in the best position to appear for the prelims exams taking place on Sunday, October 4, this year. However, as the Supreme Court said during the final hearing of the petition,

“”…every year there are some issues. Like environmental issues etc, and this is not a case of students appearing, these are to be public servants and they should act like that. Come out of your shell and comfort zone.”
