Maharashtra government transfers 10 IAS officers as assistant collectors in various naxal-tribal areas

Ten Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers have received transfer and posting orders, as assistant collectors in various naxal-tribal areas in Maharashtra, as per the press statement issued by the General Administrative Department (GAD).

All of these officers are from the 2019-batch and have been posted in the naxal and tribal-dominated districts of Maharashtra following the ‘tradition’ started a few years ago. About a year ago, the officers got their first posting in the Maharashtra cadre and currently serve as assistant collectors in various districts along with the tribal ones.

Officers have been given charges as project officers in the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP) which includes working in the remote and forests areas among the tribal communities.

IAS officer Shubham Gupta has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Bhamragad and assistant collector, Yattapali of Gadchiroli district.

IAS officer Trupti Dhodmise has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project and assistant collector, Dhule, the statement said.

IAS officer Mainak Ghosh has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Taloda of Nandurbar district, while IAS officer Ankit has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Aheri, of Gadchiroli district.

The statement read, IAS officer Manisha Awhale has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Solapur, while IAS officer Minal Karanwal has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Nandurbar.

The statement added, IAS officer Vaibhav Waghmare has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Dharni of Amaravati district, whereas, IAS officer Sawant Kumar has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Pusad of Yavatmal district.

The statement further added, IAS officer Ayushi Singh has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Jawhar of Palghar district and IAS officer Anmol Sagar has been posted as project officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, and assistant collector, Deori of Gondia district.
