Bharat Electronics Places ₹8.03 Crore Order With Avantel for Power Amplifiers Amid Strong Q2 FY26 Performance

The power amplifier supply contract comes amid Avantel’s Q2 FY26 profit decline, while BEL reports strong quarterly growth and continues expanding its defence electronics portfolio.

New Delhi: Avantel Ltd. has announced that it has received a significant purchase order worth ₹8.03 crore from Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the supply of power amplifiers. The order reinforces Avantel’s role as a key contributor in India’s defence electronics ecosystem, particularly in the areas of wireless and satellite communication technologies.

Order Execution by March 2026

According to the company’s filing, the contract is scheduled for completion by March 2026. Avantel will supply advanced power amplifier units that form part of BEL’s broader mandate to equip the Indian Armed Forces with cutting-edge electronic systems. The order is expected to support BEL’s ongoing programmes involving secure communication and mission-critical defence applications.

Financial Performance Context

The announcement comes at a time when Avantel has reported a notable decline in net profit and revenue for Q2 FY26. Despite long-term business visibility from defence orders, the company’s short-term financial performance reflected operational pressures and muted demand in some segments.
In contrast, Bharat Electronics reported robust growth in both profit and revenue for the same quarter, continuing its trend of strong financial stability driven by a healthy order book and steady execution of defence and non-defence projects.

Market Reaction

Following the announcement of the order, shares of both Avantel and BEL witnessed a slight decline in trading. Analysts noted that the modest market reaction may be linked more to quarterly financial results than the order itself, which is viewed positively for Avantel’s long-term order pipeline.

About Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

BEL, a Government of India Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, is one of the country’s premier defence electronics companies. It plays a crucial role in supplying radars, communication systems, electronic warfare equipment, and a wide range of strategic electronic solutions to the Indian Armed Forces. With a strong order book and consistent financial performance, BEL continues to remain a cornerstone of India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
