BEL Signs MoU with i-TEK RFID to Develop Advanced RFID and IoT-Based Digital Transformation Solutions

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Infotek Software and Systems Pvt Ltd to jointly develop and deploy advanced digital transformation solutions using RFID, IoT, and AIDC technologies.

The partnership aims to strengthen India’s capabilities in automation, digital tracking, and smart industrial systems.

Focus on RFID, IoT and AIDC Technologies

The collaboration will leverage Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies, including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems.

These technologies are expected to help industries improve:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Real-time tracking and monitoring
  • Automation in industrial processes
  • Scalable digital infrastructure

The initiative reflects growing demand for smart, connected systems across multiple sectors.

MoU Signed in Presence of Senior Leadership

The MoU exchange ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations.

From BEL, key participants included:

  • Director (OU) Mr Kamesh Kasana
  • GM (TP & SP) Mrs Ruchi Pant
  • GM (NWCS) Mrs Hemavathy Muthusamy

From i-TEK RFID, the MoU was exchanged by:

  • MD & CEO Mr Ashim Ashok Patil

The agreement was formalized as part of a strategic push toward digital innovation.

Strengthening BEL’s Digital Transformation Vision

The collaboration highlights BEL’s expanding focus beyond traditional defence electronics into next-generation digital technologies.

By partnering with i-TEK RFID, BEL aims to develop scalable solutions that address key industrial challenges through advanced automation and smart monitoring systems.

Industry Applications and Future Scope

The joint initiative is expected to support a wide range of applications, including:

  • Smart logistics and supply chain management
  • Industrial automation systems
  • Asset tracking and monitoring solutions
  • Defence and public sector digital infrastructure
