New Delhi: In a significant move aimed at strengthening vigilance mechanisms across public sector undertakings, the Central Government has approved the appointment of nine Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) in key PSUs, including Indian Telephone Industries (ITI), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
According to an official order, most of the appointments have been made for an initial tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Notably, one appointment has been made for a longer, fixed tenure extending up to September 15, 2028.
Tenure Details and Key Highlights
Out of the total appointments, six officers will serve for a standard three-year term. However, Shailendra Singh has been given a fixed tenure extending up to September 15, 2028, indicating a longer-term assignment in a critical PSU.
The appointments are part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficient vigilance administration in strategically important public sector enterprises.

- Trinadh Kumar Goriparti (IFoS:2002:AGMUT) – Appointed as CVO, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. (RINL), Visakhapatnam
- Dilip Kumar (IRSME:2002) – Appointed as CVO, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), Delhi
- Rajesh Kumar Singh (IRSS:2002) – Appointed as CVO, Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Delhi
- Shailendra Singh (IFoS:1997:TR) – Appointed as CVO, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), Delhi, with tenure up to September 15, 2028
- Saravanan Mannai Pathakkam (IPoS:2000) – Appointed as CVO, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), Bengaluru

Common CVO Appointment for Multiple PSUs
In addition to individual postings, Hansraj Yadav (ISS:2000) has been appointed as the Common Chief Vigilance Officer for multiple PSUs based in Jaipur. These include:
- Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd. (REIL)
- Instrumentation Ltd. (IL)
- Hindustan Salts Ltd. (HSL)
- Sambhar Salts Ltd. (SSL)
These organizations function under the administrative control of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
