BEML Crowned ‘Innovative Company of the Year’ at CII Industrial Innovation Awards 2025

New Delhi: BEML Limited, a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has been awarded the “Innovative Company of the Year (Manufacturing) – Large Enterprises” at the 12th CII Industrial Innovation Awards 2025. The prestigious recognition highlights the company’s excellence in engineering innovation, advanced manufacturing, and indigenous technology development across strategic sectors.

The award was presented during the Global Summit on Technology, R&D and Intellectual Property, held on 16–17 December 2025 in New Delhi, and reflects BEML’s sustained focus on innovation-led growth and technological self-reliance.

Recognition for Innovation-Led Growth

The honour acknowledges BEML’s strong commitment to indigenisation, research and development, and advanced manufacturing practices, which have positioned the company as a key contributor to India’s industrial and strategic capabilities. The award reinforces BEML’s role in supporting national priorities such as Atmanirbhar Bharat through the development of high-performance, homegrown engineering solutions.

Award Received by Senior Officials

The award was received on behalf of the Chairman and Managing Director, BEML Limited, by Mr. Ranvir Singh Chopra, CGM & Head (HO Cell, Delhi), and Mr. Jitendra Kumar, Head (International Business Development). Their presence at the ceremony reflected the company’s leadership-driven approach to fostering innovation and global competitiveness.

Driving Innovation Across Strategic Sectors

BEML’s innovation portfolio spans defence mobility, rail transportation, and mining equipment, making a significant contribution to India’s technological self-reliance. Some of the key indigenous platforms developed by the company include:

  • HMV 12×12 and 6×6 General Transport Vehicles (GTV) for defence applications
  • Vande Bharat Sleeper train coaches, supporting India’s modern rail infrastructure
  • BEML Rope Shovel (BRS21) for high-capacity mining operations
  • 1,500 HP engine for Main Battle Tanks, strengthening indigenous defence capabilities

These platforms demonstrate BEML’s ability to integrate cutting-edge technology with robust engineering to meet the demanding requirements of strategic and infrastructure sectors.
