Patna: Bihar is set to host its biggest-ever job fair at Gyan Bhawan, Patna, from August 19 to 23, with the government targeting employment opportunities for more than 20,000 youths.
The five-day event is being organised by the Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development and the Bihar Skill Development Mission. Companies from banking, financial services, insurance, retail and other sectors will participate.
20,000 Jobs Targeted
The mega job fair will offer opportunities across several sectors. Companies expected to participate include Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Payments Bank, Muthoot Microfin, Clix, Flipkart, TCI Express, Johnson, TVS Credit, Trent Limited and Reliance Retail, among others.
The initiative aims to connect jobseekers directly with employers and expand employment opportunities for young people across Bihar.

Online Registration Required
Candidates and employers must complete online registration to participate. Entry without registration will not be permitted.

21,500 Youths Already Employed This Year
Bihar has already organised 17 job or employment fairs during the 2026-27 financial year. These fairs have helped around 8,500 youths secure employment.
The state has also organised 673 placement camps, through which more than 13,000 youths have found employment.
Together, the job fairs and placement camps have provided employment to around 21,500 youths so far this financial year.
Major Push for Youth Employment
The upcoming Gyan Bhawan job fair is expected to be the largest employment event organised in Bihar so far. The department is coordinating with companies to create more opportunities across sectors.
The initiative could give thousands of young jobseekers an opportunity to interact directly with employers while strengthening Bihar’s broader focus on employment, skill development and industry-linked opportunities.
