Patna: Bihar is set to partner with Google India to strengthen the Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills of teachers across the state. The MoU will be signed during the state-level Teachers’ Day celebration at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna.
The initiative will focus on improving teachers’ knowledge and practical understanding of AI, supporting the education system as schools increasingly adopt digital tools and technology.
Google India Partnership to Strengthen Teachers’ AI Skills
The MoU will be signed in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari. The Director of SCERT and an authorised representative of Google India will sign the agreement.
The partnership aims to enhance teachers’ AI-related knowledge and skills, helping them better understand emerging technologies and their potential role in education.
The move comes as Bihar seeks to expand technology-based learning and strengthen the digital capabilities of its teaching workforce.

Chief Minister to Inaugurate Teachers’ Day Event
Preparations for the state-level celebration were reviewed at a meeting held at Vikas Bhawan on Thursday in the presence of Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will inaugurate the programme as the chief guest. Both Deputy Chief Ministers will attend as special guests, while Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari will preside over the event.
One teacher from each district will also receive a state award in recognition of their contribution to education.
Teachers and Students to Watch Event Live
The Teachers’ Day programme will be broadcast live to schools across Bihar to ensure wider participation.
The live broadcast will reach Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ Schools and secondary and higher secondary schools that have smart classrooms and ICT labs. This will allow teachers and students in these institutions to join the state-level celebration directly.
The arrangement also highlights the growing role of digital infrastructure in connecting schools with state-level education initiatives.
Students to Showcase Cultural Talent
The second session of the celebration will feature cultural performances by school students. Through music, dance and other performances, students will express their respect and gratitude towards their teachers.
The programme therefore combines traditional Teachers’ Day celebrations with a wider focus on technology and AI skills for educators.
