Ahead of cyclone Jawad, Chief Minister Y.S. Jaggan Mohan Reddy looked after the situation. The India Meteorological Department Forecast has warned and ordered the officials to take necessary steps lower the impact of the cyclone.
The CM talked to the collectors of Srikakulam, Vizianagram and Vishakapatnam districts over the phone and instructed them to take required steps and arrange relief camps before the cyclone hits the coastal area.
The CM entrusted the responsibility of monitoring preparatory and relief works in Srikakulam, Vizianagram and Vishakapatnam districts to senior IAS officers H. Arun Kumar, Kantilal Dande and J. Syamala Rao.
