New Delhi: In a significant move to streamline operations and strengthen tax administration, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued transfer orders for 23 officers holding the rank of Additional Commissioner and Joint Commissioner of Income Tax. The transfers, effective immediately, aim to optimize resource allocation and enhance the efficiency of the income tax department across various regions.
