New Delhi: The Central Government on Friday issued a fresh set of appointment and tenure-extension orders, approving key postings across the Department of Commerce, NITI Aayog, Ministry of Cooperation, and the Ministry of Heavy Industries. The notifications include the appointment of a Director (Finance) for the Coffee Board, a new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a contractual appointment in NITI Aayog, and an extension of the tenure of Home Minister Amit Shah’s Private Secretary.
The appointments and recommendations were issued through official notifications on July 24, 2026.
Amulya K G Appointed Director (Finance), Coffee Board
Amulya K G (IDAS:2011) has been appointed as Director (Finance) at the Coffee Board, Bengaluru, under the Department of Commerce.
The appointment is at the Director level for a period of three years. The post is classified as a Non-Central Staffing Scheme (Non-CSS) position.
Abhimanyu Kumar’s Tenure as Amit Shah’s Private Secretary Extended
The government has approved a two-year extension in the tenure of Abhimanyu Kumar (IAS:2011:RJ) as Private Secretary to Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah in the Ministry of Cooperation.
His tenure, originally scheduled to conclude on January 16, 2027, has now been extended until January 16, 2029, ensuring continuity in the minister’s office.
Arun Gupta Appointed CVO of BHEL
Arun Gupta (ITS:2001) has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Delhi, under the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
He has been appointed for an initial period of three years.
Anuj Kumar Tripathi Appointed PS to NITI Aayog Member
The government has also approved the appointment of Anuj Kumar Tripathi, a retired Private Secretary Officer (PSO) from the CSSS cadre, as Private Secretary to Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Member, NITI Aayog.
He has been appointed on a contract basis, with relaxation in the upper age limit, at the Under Secretary level for one year.
