Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has announced a major step toward integrating artificial intelligence into the state’s education system after holding a high-level meeting with representatives of Google India at the CM House in Raipur.
The meeting included senior officials such as Sanjay Jain, Head of Google for Education India, and Rakesh Ranjan, Public Policy Head of Google India. The initiative aims to transform Chhattisgarh into a hub of knowledge, skills, and innovation.
AI-Enabled Education Mission Launched as Pilot Project
The state government has launched an AI-enabled Education Campaign, which will begin as a pilot project in Raipur before being expanded across Chhattisgarh.
Under this initiative:
- AI-based learning tools will be introduced in schools
- Digital platforms will enhance classroom teaching
- Teachers will be connected with modern technologies
- Learning outcomes will be improved through interactive education methods
Google India will provide its digital education platforms free of cost to support the initiative.
Training of Over 2 Lakh Teachers Planned
A major component of the program includes large-scale teacher training. More than 2 lakh teachers across the state will be trained in AI tools and digital learning methods.
Key highlights include:
- First phase workshop for 200 teachers
- Practical training in AI-based teaching tools
- Focus on improving classroom effectiveness
- Enhancing digital literacy among educators
Officials said the aim is to make teaching more efficient, engaging, and technology-driven.
