Raipur: The state-level Haj Kit Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony was held at the Sw. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium in Raipur, organized by the Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the event and distributed first-aid medical kits to Haj pilgrims, extending his best wishes for a safe and successful pilgrimage.
The event witnessed the participation of a large number of Haj pilgrims and several dignitaries from the state.
CM Extends Best Wishes to Haj Pilgrims
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that it was a matter of privilege for him to welcome Haj pilgrims. He noted that this year, a total of 815 pilgrims from Chhattisgarh are undertaking the sacred Haj journey.
He wished all pilgrims a safe, smooth, and spiritually fulfilling journey, and also urged them to pray for peace, prosperity, and happiness for the nation and the state.
First-Time Health Training and Medical Kits for Pilgrims
The Chief Minister highlighted that, for the first time, the Health Department has provided special training to Haj pilgrims along with medical kits to ensure better health support during the journey.
These initiatives are aimed at:
- Ensuring medical safety during travel
- Providing emergency health support
- Preparing pilgrims for international travel conditions
The distribution of first-aid kits is expected to make the pilgrimage safer and more comfortable.
Leaders Highlight Importance of Haj Pilgrimage
MP Brijmohan Agrawal also addressed the gathering and extended his greetings to the pilgrims. He described Haj as a sacred journey and urged pilgrims to pray for global peace and well-being.
He further noted that reduced waiting time for Haj travel is a positive outcome of government efforts, allowing more people to undertake the pilgrimage.
