Highlighting the strides made in public employment, Mr. Sai informed that over 10,000 government jobs have been provided across departments in the last 20 months. These include roles in the Police Department, Electricity Board, Public Health Engineering, Tribal Development, and Cooperative Departments.

He also announced that the recruitment process for 700 assistant professors in higher education and 5,000 school teachers is underway, reflecting the government’s sustained push to strengthen the education sector with quality human resources.

New Industrial Policy Attracts Rs. 7 Lakh Crore Investments

Underscoring the link between economic growth and employment, Mr. Sai revealed that under the new industrial policy, the state has received investment proposals worth approximately Rs. 7 lakh crore. Several industrial units have already begun operations, promising large-scale direct and indirect employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh.

“The new policy is not only attracting capital but also ensuring grassroots benefits for our people,” Mr. Sai added.

Higher Education Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma lauded the transparency and speed of the recruitment process. He congratulated the newly appointed laboratory technicians and praised departmental officials for completing the entire counselling and selection process in just three months across three phases—without a single controversy.

He encouraged the appointees to “play a pivotal role in uplifting their institutions and contribute actively to the vision of a progressive Chhattisgarh.”

Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Mr. Khushwant Saheb, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sachchidanand Shukla, and Higher Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan were also present at the event, underscoring the collaborative governance model that prioritizes education, skill development, and inclusive growth.

The program saw enthusiastic participation from the newly appointed technicians, who are set to join government colleges across the state, strengthening Chhattisgarh’s educational infrastructure at the grassroots level.
