Chhattisgarh PPPAC Pushes Major Industrial Growth Plan with New Projects in Bilaspur, Nava Raipur and Bhilai

Raipur: The government of Chhattisgarh has taken a significant step toward accelerating industrial development and infrastructure expansion through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. A high-level meeting of the Public Private Partnership Assessment Committee (PPPAC) was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, where several key projects were reviewed in detail.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Vikasheel, with senior officials from multiple departments in attendance.

Major Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Reviewed

The committee discussed several large-scale projects aimed at boosting industrial activity and urban infrastructure in the state. These include:

  • Development of a Transport Nagar in Bilaspur
  • Construction of a modern convention centre in Nava Raipur
  • Establishment of new industrial areas in Chhati (Dhamtari) and Chanderi (Balodabazar)
  • Development of a commercial tower and flatted factory building in Bhilai

These projects are expected to strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem and attract new investments.

Chief Secretary Vikasheel directed officials to:

He emphasized that a smooth regulatory framework is essential for attracting private investment and promoting industrial growth.

Reforms in Industrial Policies and Investment Process

  • Industrial park allocation rules

Officials highlighted that these changes will make it easier for industries to set up operations in the state.

According to officials, the proposed PPP projects are expected to:
