Raipur: Chhattisgarh has taken a major step towards strengthening good governance and digital administration with the Seva Setu Portal, an online platform that is making government services more accessible, transparent, and time-bound for citizens across the state.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the portal has emerged as an effective digital platform where citizens can access more than 441 government services from a single online platform. The initiative has significantly reduced the need for people to repeatedly visit government offices for basic services.

The Seva Setu Portal is benefiting citizens across Chhattisgarh by ensuring faster service delivery and improving transparency in government processes.

Balrampur Resident Santoshi Singh Receives Residence Certificate Easily Through Seva Setu

The impact of the digital initiative was recently experienced by Santoshi Singh from Balrampur district, who successfully received her residence certificate through the Seva Setu Portal.

Santoshi had applied for a residence certificate, but during the initial verification process, her application was kept pending due to the unavailability of required land-related documents.

Officials guided her regarding alternative documents that could be submitted. She later provided proof of 15 years of residence along with birth-related documents. After successful verification of the documents, her residence certificate was issued.

After receiving the certificate, Santoshi Singh expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the district administration, stating that the Seva Setu platform helped resolve her long-pending issue in a simple and convenient manner.

Seva Setu Expands Earlier E-District Services into a Comprehensive Digital Platform

Earlier, citizens had access to limited services through the e-District portal. The system has now been upgraded and expanded into the Seva Setu Portal, integrating hundreds of services from multiple departments on a single platform.

Through this upgraded digital system:

  • Citizens can apply for services online
  • Applications are processed transparently
  • Services are delivered within fixed timelines
  • The entire process can be monitored digitally

The initiative aims to provide hassle-free government services while ensuring better accountability and efficiency.

441+ Government Services Available on One Digital Platform

The Seva Setu Portal provides access to a wide range of government services, including:

  • Income certificates
  • Caste certificates
  • Residence certificates
  • Birth and death certificates
  • Marriage registration services
  • Land record-related services
  • Name correction and modification services
  • Social security scheme applications
  • Labour department services
  • Revenue department services

At the Gram Panchayat level, citizens can also access services related to:

  • Marriage certificates
  • Building permissions
  • Street light applications
  • Sanitation-related complaints
  • Name change through gazette notification

The integration of these services has made government facilities more convenient, especially for people living in rural areas.

Digital Training Ensures Service Delivery Till Village Level

To ensure effective implementation of the Seva Setu Portal, regular training programmes are being conducted for:

  • Panchayat secretaries
  • Seva Setu centre operators
  • Department officials and employees

These training initiatives aim to strengthen digital service delivery and ensure that citizens at the village level can easily access online government facilities.

The focus is on expanding digital governance and ensuring that benefits reach the maximum number of people.

WhatsApp Integration Helps Citizens Track Applications from Home

The Seva Setu Portal has also been connected with WhatsApp services, allowing citizens to check the status of their applications from home.

This feature is especially beneficial for rural residents as it saves both time and money while reducing dependence on physical visits to government offices.

The initiative is helping bring government services closer to citizens and ensuring last-mile delivery of public welfare services.

Seva Setu Becomes a Key Initiative for Transparent Governance in Chhattisgarh

The Seva Setu Portal represents Chhattisgarh’s commitment towards technology-driven governance and citizen-friendly administration.

By bringing hundreds of government services onto a single digital platform, the initiative is improving convenience, transparency, and efficiency in public service delivery.

With continued expansion and improved digital access, Seva Setu is becoming an important tool in ensuring that government services reach every citizen in a simple, timely, and transparent manner.
