Samoda: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday inaugurated and performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for various development projects worth more than ₹128 crore in Samoda Nagar Panchayat of Arang Assembly constituency.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also announced several new development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, and basic facilities in the region.
Major Development Projects Announced in Arang Region
CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced key projects for the area, including:
- Construction of a stop dam in village Rewa at an estimated cost of around ₹4 crore
- Construction of a boundary wall at Government Higher Secondary School, Samoda
- Construction of the first floor of the Panchayat Bhawan in Samoda Nagar Panchayat
- Upgradation of Tulsi High School into a Higher Secondary School
The Chief Minister said these projects will strengthen local infrastructure and improve facilities for residents, students, and farmers.
Government Focuses on Last-Mile Development
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai said the government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society.
He highlighted that the government is working to expand basic facilities such as:
- Roads
- Electricity
- Drinking water
- Healthcare services
- Other essential infrastructure
He added that special attention is being given to remote areas, including Bastar, to accelerate development.
Arang Receives Over ₹858 Crore Development Works So Far
Chhattisgarh Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education Guru Khushwant Saheb said that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, the Arang Assembly constituency has received development projects worth more than ₹858 crore so far.
He said the state government is working towards establishing a new direction of development and good governance in Chhattisgarh.
CM Sai Highlights Good Governance and Public Service Initiatives
During his address, Chief Minister Sai said the government is working to create an administration based on:
- Good governance
- Transparency
- Accountability
He said effective action is being taken against corruption and crime, while citizen services are being made easier and more accessible.
The Chief Minister informed that more than 520 government services are available through the Seva Setu platform, and complaints are being addressed within a fixed timeline through the Chief Minister Helpline 1076.
Support for Farmers and Welfare Schemes Expanded
CM Sai said the government has ensured adequate availability of:
- Fertilisers
- Seeds
- Agricultural inputs
He also highlighted the government’s focus on:
- Cooperative development
- Women empowerment
- Public welfare schemes
The Chief Minister urged citizens to take maximum benefit of government schemes.
CM Sai Extends Electricity Bill Relief Scheme Deadline
The Chief Minister announced that the registration period for the Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana has been extended by three months.
Eligible consumers can register through the “Mor Bijli” mobile application or website until September to avail benefits under the scheme.
Tree Plantation and Student Welfare Initiatives
During the event, CM Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” campaign and planted an Amla sapling.
He also distributed bicycles to Class 9 girl students under the Saraswati Cycle Scheme.
Students who performed exceptionally well under the district administration’s Mission Utkarsh programme were also honoured during the event.
Government’s Vision for Inclusive Growth in Chhattisgarh
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said the state government is committed to inclusive development by strengthening infrastructure, improving public services, supporting farmers, empowering women, and creating better educational opportunities.
The programme was attended by Chhattisgarh Charm Shilpkar Development Board Chairman Dhruv Kumar Mirdha, Chhattisgarh Medicinal Plants Board Vice Chairman Anjay Shukla, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, along with other public representatives, officials, and citizens.
