CM Vishnu Deo Sai Meets Jharkhand Finance Minister, Discusses Development of Border Areas and Public Welfare

Raipur: Jharkhand Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during his visit to the state, with discussions focusing on the development of border areas, public welfare initiatives, and stronger coordination between the two neighbouring states.

The meeting was held at Mahanadi Bhawan, the Chhattisgarh Ministry, where both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation for the benefit of people living in border regions of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

During the meeting, CM Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore discussed several key issues related to:

He highlighted that the Jashpur region of Chhattisgarh has had a close relationship with Jharkhand for decades, which has strengthened mutual trust and people-to-people connections between the two states.

The Chief Minister said these long-standing ties provide a strong foundation for greater cooperation in development and welfare initiatives.

Jashpur and Border Districts Share Close Connectivity with Jharkhand

Several districts of Chhattisgarh, including:

  • Jashpur
  • Balrampur-Ramanujganj

share borders with Jharkhand.

People from these regions frequently travel between the two states for education, business, employment, healthcare, and other activities.

The social, cultural, and family relationships between communities on both sides of the border have further strengthened the connection between the states.

Discussion on Better Implementation of Government Schemes

The meeting also focused on improving the delivery of government welfare programmes in border areas.
