Raipur: Chhattisgarh is set to receive a major industrial boost, with Hyderabad-based Yash Fans investing ₹152.74 crore to establish a consumer electronics manufacturing plant in Nava Raipur. The bhoomipoojan ceremony for the facility was held on October 16, 2026, in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, with the project expected to create approximately 3,500 jobs.
The plant will be the first consumer electronics manufacturing facility of its kind in the state. It is expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s manufacturing base, create employment opportunities for local residents and support the development of businesses linked to production, packaging, transportation and component supply.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai Highlights Employment Potential
Addressing the event, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said employment generation for the state’s youth was a key priority of his government. He highlighted the role of the state’s Industrial Development Policy 2024–30 in attracting investment and creating jobs.
“Providing employment to our youth is our government’s top priority, and our Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 has been shaped with this focus,” Sai said. He added that the plant would create local employment and help Chhattisgarh enter consumer electronics manufacturing.
The chief minister welcomed Yash Fans to the state and assured the company of the government’s support. He said Chhattisgarh had contributed to India’s growth through steel, coal and power, and was now positioned to manufacture finished products for Indian households.
Sai said the project would help take products made in Chhattisgarh to markets across the country, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Make in India.

Products for Crompton, Havells and Other Brands
Yash Fans manufactures electric fans and kitchen appliances for established brands, including Crompton, Havells, Usha and Milton. With the new facility, products for these brands are expected to be manufactured in Chhattisgarh.
The project is also expected to create opportunities beyond direct employment. Businesses involved in supplying components, packaging, transport and other support services could benefit as industrial activity expands around the plant.
The facility is expected to add value to locally available raw materials. Chhattisgarh produces steel and aluminium, and the proposed manufacturing unit could help convert these materials into finished consumer products within the state, retaining a greater share of the economic value locally.
Yash Fans Sees Chhattisgarh as a Strategic Manufacturing Base
Yash Fans, which operates 12 manufacturing plants across Hyderabad and Himachal Pradesh, is establishing its first unit in Chhattisgarh through the Nava Raipur project.
Ritesh Naredi, Chairman of Yash Fans, said the state offered several advantages for expanding the company’s manufacturing operations, including access to steel and aluminium, a central location for serving markets across India, a workforce and government support.
He described Chhattisgarh as a suitable location for the company’s expansion, citing its raw-material availability and potential to serve customers nationwide.
Ministers and Industry Representatives Attend Ceremony
The bhoomipoojan ceremony was attended by Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Minister for Commerce and Industries; O.P. Choudhary, Minister for Housing and Environment; and Rajeev Agrawal, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC). Senior representatives of Yash Fans were also present.
The ₹152.74 crore investment and projected 3,500 jobs mark a significant addition to Nava Raipur’s industrial development plans. The project is expected to generate direct employment while creating further opportunities for local suppliers, entrepreneurs and service providers as manufacturing activity grows.
