Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed officials to transform the inauguration of the state’s newly constructed Sandipani Schools into vibrant community celebrations that promote education, culture, and public participation rather than being mere formal ceremonies.

Chairing a review meeting at the state secretariat, the Chief Minister instructed senior officials from the School Education Department and Tribal Affairs Department to ensure that the inauguration events are held as part of the ongoing School Chalein Abhiyan (School Enrollment Campaign), with active participation from students, parents, public representatives, and local communities.

70 Newly Built Sandipani Schools Ready for Inauguration by July 15

During the meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that construction of 70 Sandipani School buildings has been completed across Madhya Pradesh.

The schools include:

  • 46 schools under the School Education Department
  • 24 schools under the Tribal Affairs Department

All 70 schools are ready for inauguration, and Dr. Yadav directed that the inauguration ceremonies be completed by July 15 in the presence of district in-charge ministers and local public representatives.

Inaugurations to Feature Cultural Programs, Competitions and Student Activities

The Chief Minister said the inauguration of the new schools should mark the beginning of a new era of quality education for children.

He instructed officials to organize:

  • Cultural performances by students
  • Educational and creative competitions
  • Other engaging activities for children
  • Distribution of refreshments and sweets to every student

According to Dr. Yadav, these celebrations should become memorable occasions that inspire children and strengthen community involvement in education.

Pocket Book on Guru Sandipani to Be Distributed Among Students

Dr. Yadav also directed officials to publish and distribute a pocket book on the life and teachings of Guru Sandipani to students across the state.

He said Guru Sandipani was a strong advocate of social equality who imparted education without discrimination based on caste, class, wealth, or social status. Students from royal families, farmers, and economically weaker sections were all treated equally under his guidance.

The Chief Minister emphasized that students should learn about India’s ancient knowledge tradition, the guru-disciple relationship, and moral values through Guru Sandipani’s inspiring life.

Special Enrollment Festivals for Already Inaugurated Schools

For Sandipani Schools that have already been inaugurated, Dr. Yadav instructed officials to organize admission festivals (Praveshotsav) to encourage greater student enrollment and strengthen the connection between schools and local communities.

He stressed that all preparations should be completed on time so that every Sandipani School becomes a model institution offering quality, value-based, and modern education.

Guru Purnima Celebrations Planned in Every District

The Chief Minister also announced that Guru Purnima, to be observed on July 29, will be celebrated in one Sandipani School in every district under the leadership of the district’s in-charge minister.

The celebrations will include:

  • Science exhibitions
  • Felicitation of teachers
  • Presentations on innovative teaching and student projects
  • Demonstrations of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) by students
  • Honouring meritorious students

The initiative aims to promote innovation, technology, and excellence in education while recognizing the contribution of teachers.

Senior Ministers and Officials Attend Review Meeting

The review meeting was attended virtually by Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah and School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh. School Education Secretary Dr. Sanjay Goyal presented the progress report on the Sandipani Schools.

Also present at the meeting were Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary of Tribal Affairs Gulshan Bamra, and other senior government officials.
